Two weeks from today we will be stepping on to an airplane to begin the last leg of this very long, sometimes stressful, very exciting adventure we started almost 2 1/2 years ago. It is hard to believe all the paperwork, telephone calls, running around is behind us and we have finally made it this far. It is all becoming a reality now and, although I think I am very organized and ready, there are still the last minute things that have to get done within the next two weeks. These things have been keeping me up during the night. The excitement is really building and I doubt that it will lighten up until we are back from China and sleeping in our own beds.
Thank you to all of our families, friends, neighbors, etc. that have shared this with us and are so very excited for us. We couldn't have accomplished everything without your love and support. We will continue to need it as we travel....did I say.....TWO WEEKS from today!! to bring Olivia back to be the newest member of our family.

- We began this adoption journey in January of 2005. We worked with Pauquette Adoption Services of Portage. After a few months of "paperchasing" we had our homestudy sent to China and it was logged in on October 21, 2005. We finally received our referral March 6, 2007. We then flew to China on May 11, returning home with our new daughter on May 26, 2007. Since then Olivia has brought nothing but joy and happiness to our family. Each day is a new adventure and it is thrilling to watch her grow and learn. We can't wait to see what the coming years will bring.
